Sara is a violinist and graduate from the Eastman School of Music. Elise, a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, is a pianist. Together they make the mother and daughter duo Sara and Elise composing music in the classical contemporary genre. They started working together when Sara completed her masters degree in violin performance at Carnegie Mellon University. At first, they started with improvisations and wrote songs with voice, piano, and violin. Eventually, it turned into them composing full orchestral scores with each playing their respective instrument. This is most noticeable in their album Time. Their music tends to be more cinematic, though they have composed a variety of works from solo piano to vocal songs. In the spring of 2024, Sara and Elise signed with Platoon for Artists. Expressions, their latest album, was just released by Platoon LTD. It features Elise on piano with orchestra.
Along with their own compositions, Sara and Elise have created their own renditions of many popular pieces. After signing with Kringle and Company in the fall of 2023, they released their first orchestral holiday album, A Classical Christmas.
Their performance of their own arrangement, Liz on top of the World from the movie Pride and Prejudice, has garnished over 100k views on YouTube.
Sara and Elise are currently working on their new album.
